How do I get started?

A tasting is the best way to get started with the process of planning your wedding desserts! You can request one here: and then our Wedding Coordinator will reach out with a link to her calendar so you can choose the best date/time for your tasting.

At your tasting, there will be a design meeting and you will leave with a full quote for your wedding cake or dessert bar, so it is always a good idea to bring photos, swatches, Pinterest boards, & floral proposals. These items help us personalize your design and complete your quote.

What if I can’t make it to Durham for a tasting?

Our wedding coordinator would be happy to set up a phone call or send a quote via email. The process still begins with filling out the tasting request form because it gives us the information we need to get started with your quote.

What does a tasting include?

A regular tasting includes 3 cupcake flavor combinations of your choice and 3 house favorites for a total of 6 cupcakes. You choose up to 3 cake flavors, fillings, & frostings and then we round out your tasting box with 3 other cake flavors, fillings & frostings.

A deluxe tasting box includes our regular tasting box & a small box of our other treat offerings. It will include 3-4 other treats from this list: whoopie pies, brownies, cookie sandwiches, macarons, cake pops, frosted sugar cookies, cake trifles.

Do you have any Minimums?

Yes. We currently have a $500 minimum order not including delivery, but we reserve the right to increase the minimum order for delivery on peak wedding weekends. We are always happy to accommodate smaller weddings with pickups at our shop in Durham, NH.

How far do you deliver?

We deliver within a 2-hour radius of our shop in Durham, NH and delivery is based on our availability. You are welcome to collect your cake and/or desserts if your venue is further away. Your cake and desserts will be packaged appropriately, and we will provide storage & transportation instructions. Sweetened Memories Bakry does not accept responsibility for any damage to cakes & desserts after they have left our shop.

What is your delivery charge?

Our delivery charge starts at $25 for venues within a 5-mile radius of our shop and goes up based on the distance of your venue from our shop. All dessert bars incur an additional $50 setup fee, unless we have an agreement with your venue that they will set up the display.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cake cancellations must be made in writing. Since your cake is baked specifically for you and certain items are purchased/made in advance, the following conditions are implemented when an order is cancelled:

For orders cancelled within 3 weeks of your scheduled event, the full balance is due & the booking fee is non-refundable & non-transferable.

Postponement of events are addressed on a case-by-case basis depending on the amount of notice given & availability for the new date. If Sweetened Memories Bakery does not have availability for the new date, the booking fee is non-refundable, and the original contract will be terminated.

How do you handle allergies/special diets?

We do offer gluten free & vegan cakes, cupcakes, and treats, but our kitchen does contain wheat, nuts, eggs, milk, & soy. When we are made aware of any allergy, we take every precaution when baking & decorating, but we cannot guarantee that there won’t be any cross contamination. In the case of severe allergies, it is our recommendation that you source desserts for your guests from a dedicated allergen-free bakery.

Can I make changes to my order after my initial quote?

All changes in flavors or quantities for your dessert bar need to be made by 3 weeks out from your event. Your cake is very important to us; therefore, we will do our best to accommodate changes in the design of your cake up to 6 weeks before your wedding. Changes to the design of your cake will need to be approved in writing and may incur additional charges if the change affects the cost or if preparations for your cake have already begun. Sweetened Memories Bakery reserves the right to increase the quoted price accordingly.

Do you Rent Display pieces?

We have a whole room of rental pieces to help you achieve the dessert display of your dreams! All rentals incur a $200 security deposit that is refunded back to you once your display pieces are returned to our shop, undamaged, by 5pm on the Friday after your event. This deposit can be paid by check or Venmo. If you want to pay the deposit via credit card, a $15 convenience fee will be deducted from your refund.

How much will my cake cost?

Your cake is designed & baked just for you. As a starting point, our multi-tiered buttercream cakes range between $7-$15/serving depending on the intricacy of your design.
